He worked by day and toiled by night.
He gave up play and some delight.
Dry books he read. New things to learn
and forged ahead, success to earn.
He plodded on with faith and pluck;
and when he won, men called it luck.

Success and accomplishment are finished products. When you see a successful business, a person that wins an award, or a group with a culture of excellence, you are looking at the fruit of persistence. The product is the culmination of God's grace, time, and effort. What you don't see is the tireless planning, hours of work, or the sacrifices given.
Whatever you're working on this Monday, continue and be encouraged with the work you're investing. The bible says, All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. Continue to sow excellence, and you will see the fruit of your labor.
"and when he won, men called it luck"
